HOW DOES YOKUU’S STAIN WHISPERER WORK?

Most stain removers are intense - harsh on your clothes, filled with heavy chemical smells, and not always that reliable. We thought it was time for something better.

The Stain Whisperer is a 4-in-1 stain remover powered by enzymes and probiotics. It’s gentle on your fabrics and your skin, but ruthless on stains. Here's everything you need to know about it: how it works, how to use it, and why it might just be the laziest way to get the cleanest laundry.

What is the Stain Whisperer?

The Stain Whisperer is YOKUU’s 4-in-1 stain remover. It’s powered by enzymes and good bacteria (yes, really), and it comes in two versions:

  • White: with natural oxygen bleach to lift and brighten
  • Colour: bleach-free, so it’s safe on fabrics and won’t dull your colours

You can use it in the wash, as a soak, or for targeted spot treatment. It works on the kind of everyday messes we all know too well: tomato sauce, wine, coffee, sweat, baby food, and all the mystery marks in between.

How does it work?

Instead of relying on harsh chemicals like chlorine bleach or optical brighteners, the Stain Whisperer uses a combination of enzymes and probiotics.

  • The enzymes break down stain molecules like grease, blood, or sauce
  • The probiotics keep working even after the wash - helping reduce odours and maintain a healthy microflora in your washing machine

It’s effective, gentle, and 100% biodegradable.

How do you use it?

This is where it gets easy. The Stain Whisperer works in three ways:

  • In the wash: Add 1 tablespoon (30g) to the detergent drawer, along with your usual detergent. For heavier stains, use two.
  • As a soak: Dissolve 1 tablespoon in 2L of warm water and let your item soak for up to an hour.
  • Spot treatment: Mix ½ tablespoon with a bit of water, apply directly to the stain, let it sit for 5+ minutes, then wash as normal.

You can choose how much effort you want to make - the Whisperer adapts.

What kinds of stains is it best at?

The Stain Whisperer is great at handling anything organic - which, luckily, makes up the vast majority of everyday stains. Think:

  • Tomato sauce
  • Red wine
  • Curry
  • Sweat
  • Baby food
  • Make-up
  • Grass stains
  • Pet messes
  • Coffee

Ink and paint? It’ll try, but since they’re synthetic and not protein- or fat-based, they don’t respond as well to enzymes. You might need a more specialised product for those, though it never hurts to try the Whisperer first.

Is it safe?

Yes. It’s designed to be gentle where it matters and tough where it counts.
